Become a Resident

The residency is a multi-year program designed for emerging leaders who feel called to vocational church ministry. We want to help develop the future pastors, teachers, and ministry directors by giving them a place to grow and learn through hands-on ministry experience and intentional personal development. We believe that these experiences will develop future leaders for a lifetime of ministry significance.

What You'll Do

• Residents apply to serve in a specific ministry of the church; college, youth, worship, creative, children’s, executive, etc. As a resident, you will receive hands-on experience and training in this specific ministry area, as well as being mentored by a Doxology staff member that leads your area. You will also pursue personal ministry relationships within the church body and have the opportunity to experience church-wide ministry opportunities such as baptisms, hospital visits, counseling, performing weddings, and developing teaching skills.

• We encourage residents to attend seminary while doing the residency program- this provides vital theological training that accents their hands-on experiences. Doxology has a partnership with DTS that allows for residents here to get some of their seminary tuition covered and attain some credit hours through their participation in our Residency Program. Talk to our resident director for more details on this.

• The residency can be part or full time, although most of our residents serve in a full-time capacity.

Get More Information

Most residents apply at the start of the year, raise support over the summer, and begin the program in August. We do, however, make some exceptions to this, so feel free to email with questions and interest at any time!
