A Radical Welcome: Westside Medical Clinic

For years, Dr. Aaron Adamson observed the same pattern in his emergency room as patients continually arrived with acute health problems that could have been prevented with basic primary care. When he asked why they hadn't seen a doctor sooner, the answer was always the same. I couldn't afford it.

Confronted with this crisis, Dr. Adamson wondered, what healthcare would be like if cost wasn't a barrier? So he decided to find out. The result is the brand-new Westside Medical Clinic which opens with a revolutionary promise: "If you have a name and a birthday, we're going to see you."

No insurance. No cost. No one turned away. 

Churches Unite for Community Health

That dream is becoming reality through an unprecedented partnership between The Hills, Paradox, Watermark Fort Worth, and Doxology. Together, these congregations have launched Westside Medical Clinic, a full-service medical facility offering treatment for minor injuries, chronic disease management, and routine procedures, completely free of charge.

What’s remarkable about this partnership in the healthcare space? Churches are actively setting aside denominational differences to address a pressing community need. Of course, this isn't about any one church getting credit. This is about the Church being the hands and feet of Jesus.

More Than Medicine

Step inside Westside Medical Clinic and you'll immediately sense something different. Volunteers greet patients by name, offer prayer in moments of fear, and ensure every person feels seen and valued. It's healthcare wrapped in dignity and hope.

This radical welcome mirrors the heart of Jesus, who says, "Come to me, all who are weary and burdened." The clinic extends that same invitation into West Fort Worth neighborhoods where medical bills shouldn't determine who receives care.

Kingdom Come in Action

At Doxology, we've been praying for God's goodness and grace to take root in every heart and home. This is the essence of Kingdom Come. The Westside Medical Clinic embodies this vision as churches stand shoulder to shoulder, multiplying hope, and offering tangible good news to neighbors in need.
